Vintage Japanese Cast Bronze Akita Dog Figurine Okimono

This piece measures 4.75" high and 5.5" long. It depicts a regal Akita dog with her characteristic erect ears and bushy curly tail that is clearly visible. The proud demeanor of this dog is very charming. The statue was made out of cast bronze and lightly finished in a brown color. The artist signed his name on the right hind leg that reads "Masafumi" (see photo). The condition is very good with the exception of a small amount of bronze rust on its left hind leg (see photo) and its age is from the 1960's.
