We at ARWNY hear a lot of sad stories and come across some cases that rattle even us who have done rescue for decades. Well we just had a case that actually chilled us to the bone. WHY? Because it involved an all-breed rescue group who placed an Akita in a foster home where he was almost -- and I mean ALMOST -- starved to death! This dog's name is JuJu and I ask you all to remember him in your hearts. Send him positive energy and love so he knows not all humans are like what he encountered and so he regains the will to survive.

Luckily he is now with our queen of fosters Joann who will keep him until he is fully recovered, which will be quite some time. His vet bills were enormous and will continue to be. The vets have stated this was strictly a starvation and dehydration case and that JuJu was near death. So we are having this auction to assist with his care -- to show JuJu we DO care and we at ARWNY and all our supporters will show him people care enough about him to make him whole and well again.

So in JuJu's honor we are having our first ever no reserve auction. Bid often -- bid from your heart -- and show JuJu we care. Show him a happy Valentine's Day.
