XENA

Xena is a 5 Year old Akita. She was rescued from a home that neglected her. The family kept her outside and was not feeding her. When found her weight was 45 lbs, and severely emaciated. Since than she has gained 20 lbs and has a little more to go to get to a healthy weight. Xena is very friendly loves attention. Xena will need to be a only dog due to having resource guarding issues with other dogs and can be aggressive when near food, water or toys. She has been around cats and likes to chase but does not seem aggressive with them. She has a lot of energy but also likes to cuddle and sit calmly beside you. She is very good in the car. She does not seem to have been walked on a leash in the past so will need training. Xena is healthy, current on her shots and is on a heartworm preventative. Xena desperately needs a forever home that wants to bring her into their family and show her the love she deserves.

HALO

Halo is a very gentle and sweet Akita lady. She’s recently turned seven years old and couldn’t have a mellower disposition. She enjoys spending her days lounging in the sun and going for a leisurely walk or hike, and is always up for a good tummy rub. Halo is excellent with children and cats, however she is a dominant female and much prefers males or submissive females as friends. Halo is a very well trained and loyal companion and her foster parents will be sad to see her go, but she needs a family that would be willing to give her as much love as she has to offer. Halo is spayed and current on all vaccines.

Titan is a very handsome and sweet young Akita Mix. He just celebrated his fourth birthday and still has lots of energy, although he’s beginning to mellow more with his years. Titan LOVES the outdoors and is excellent off leash. He’s a very good listener and knows all of his commands. He is currently living with a foster home, due to his old owners having allergies, and is looking for a home with lots of time and attention to give. He gets along wonderfully with cats, children, and any other dog that’s willing to play. He would make an excellent companion for another energetic pup. He enjoys fetching, tug of war and a good swim. He’s been neutered and is current on all vaccines.

Sume has been raised inside the home with a 10 yr old child,
has basic obedience training, is house trained & crate trained.
Sume would be a good candidate for some obedience competitions.

Her owners have to let her go due to personal family issues and a divorce.
She really is a good girl looking for a great "FOREVER" home!

Sume is current on all vaccines, altered and approximately 70lbs.

Female Purebred Akita around 6 years old. Well trained. She is smart and learns quickly. Very loyal, loving and obedient to her family. Loves to play fetch and go for car rides. Seeks a mature quiet house with a fenced yard, no other pets. Although she does not like other pets, she is easily controlled when walking with her master even through a room full of dogs. She does not lunge at other dogs or in any way appear aggressive until another dog is right up to her. She does seem to get along with other large male dogs that ignore her. She prefers a home that does not have a lot of strange faces constantly coming and going. She is fine with strangers in her home as long as her master introduces them to her first and lets her know it is ok for them to be there. She is great with strangers when brought anywhere else and actually loves the attention she gets. She gets a LOT OF ATTENTION from strangers because she is such a beautiful Akita. Spayed and up to date on all shots. Preference given to those who have experience with dominant breeds, particularly Akitas. She would like someone who has plenty of time to spend with her as she loves to have people pay attention to her. However, she is not needy. She is absolutely beautiful!

TJ is a 5yr neutered male Akita for adoption, brindle pinto in color and 78 lb. He is updated on vaccines, heartworm and fecal negative, and microchipped. This is one of the sweetest boys around!! He was a beloved family member his whole life until his owner died and his other family members chose not to care for him anymore. TJ is quiet, calm, gentle, and loves everyone. He is excellent with all people including children, housebroken, crate trained and obedience trained. TJ is good with small dogs and female dogs. If you are looking for a move-in ready-made family member, he is the one. TJ is easygoing, loves lots of hugs and pets, and loves to go on walks and adventures but is not hyper. He is quite the handsome gentleman with the beautiful contrast of dark brindle spots on a creamy white coat. TJ has the sweet bear face, intelligent eyes, and curly tail well known in the Akita breed. Anyone who welcomes him into thie home and heart will be lucky indeed!
